I tried to do the same
thing (see previous picture caption) when El Khalej went up for
a corner against Middlesbrough - but there was no goal on this occasion.

That Number’ would not have been such an interesting
book to illustrate, of that there is no doubt. By the time the Archers
Rd was finally demolished it had become nothing more than a glorified
bike shed, albeit inhabited by the most vocal element of home fans.
In its day however, it had a charm to rival the Milton and it was
only when the away fans were placed there in the 1970’s and
1980’s and the wire fences were erected that it lost its ambience.
