Jimmy Adams was the Echo’s photographer at The Dell between the 1930’s and 1970’s. He did not always sit behind the goal to take conventional shots however. He would sometimes choose to sit in the West stand to capture stunning panoramic shots, such as the one that can be seen at the top of Page 59 in ‘In That Number’. Those pictures were so informative as the position of every relevant player is recorded the moment the ball flashed into the net.
